Social ...Societies: Sociological thought experiments in which gender arrangement is a key actor in a society; societies that have been re-envisioned, such as utopias and dystopias
Biological / GenderBiological thought experiments in which gender is reenvisioned from an individualistic perspective (sex changes, etc.) or biological (sex eliminated through evolution or genetic tinkering; alien sexuality). Or reenvision sex by not envisioning it at all -- ambiguous gender.

SexualityBibliographies on any aspect of sexuality that doesn't fit into the above categories ...

Doing the Genres: Fantasy, Cyberpunk, Etc.
Strong Women and Feminist HeroesScience fiction / fantasy that portrays strong women in nonconventional or nontraditional roles; perhaps who they are is surprising, because these women are traditionally under-represented. Or what they do is shocking or surprising, or perhaps not often thought of heroically .... Or they are more, or less, than human ... It's not surprising that see these women being heroes (in fact it might be expected!) but it is unfortunately all too surprising to see them at all ...
