This is a DRAFT statement about our IP (intellectual property) and copyright policies.

Briefly, with regards to text original to this website:

• All facts are free.
• Text should be credited.
• Text may be reprinted, by non-profit entities.
• If text is reprinted, we prefer to be informed and, where possible, to get a copy of the publication. This is a courtesy and not mandatory.

Some publications may be hosted here, and individual copyright / licensing will be applicable to those specific texts.

At the bottom of each page, there should be three logos -- BY:, $, and a left-handed copyright symbol. These three symbols link to Creative Commons licenses, which explain more about the statements above.

Citing the Site: The official title for the entire website is "Feministsf.org: Feminist Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Utopias". The site editor is Laura Quilter. The site was developed in 1994 and maintained consistently through the present date. Individual developers are credited after any text written by them, or at the bottom of any page they have developed.

Protection of Facts: In Europe, the European Database Directive applies, which would "protect" this compilation of data. However, the editors of feministsf.org strongly believe that access to facts should not restricted, and accordingly any "protection" which might accrue under the European Database Directive is disavowed.

Linking: Some people mistakenly believe that linking to a website is a form of intellectual property, and must be permitted by the website owner. This is not true. To the extent that any court holds otherwise, feministsf.org disavows any such "right."
