Awards, Reviews & Links to the Feminist SF/F & Utopia
Site
People & Institutions that have linked or are in some other
way connected ... I can't list all the search engines, but every search engine
I've searched has turned up the site.
According to Altavista (7/31/96) there are at least 500 links to the feminist
science fiction web page. Obviously all of you have not let us know that you're
linking ! How can we reciprocate the link if you don't let us know?
AltaVista links 7/31/96: over 500
11/11/97: over 1500 site links

- lycos top 5% review
- as of 11/24/97 lycos reviews (formerly pointcom) gives us a "64" content,
"60" design, and "60" overall (out of 100) and says: "This site provides a
literary survey of "feminist utopias, science fiction, and fantasy" from authors
like Margaret Atwood, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Marge Piercy. If you've heard
enough catty slurs about Jack Sprat's wife and that old lady who lived in
a shoe, here you'll find links to "feminist retellings of myths, fairy tales,
and folklore," and "Post-Holocaust, Women-Run Societies." Site creator Laura
[Quilter] is an academic librarian and sci-fi enthusiast; she seems to
know her
stuff. A good stop before heading off to the library or bookstore." (you should

they say of our web site: "Imagine a future world in which women design and
run society. The women at this site already have. There's a long annotation
of works with a feminist twist. Check the "strong women" category for futuristic
heroines, or the "gender revisionism" category for a world without sex. You
can also browse citations by author."
