Her Mothers

A Weave of Women is a modern tale of magic realism, set in Israel. It does some interesting things to Israeli-Arab relations, as well as to the patriarchal nature of Judaism and the Israeli state. The women in the novel create new women's rites. --lq, 5/26/95
